The food is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was so flavourful and well prepared, and the courses were perfectly spaced out. Starters: highly recommend the tempeh & beef skewers, the fried mushrooms, and the tofu. Mains: the rendang and the green beans are a must. The sauce that the clam stir fry was prepared in is also superb. You have to get rice on the side (both types are great but the turmeric one is fantastic). Special mention for the pandan crème brûlée (still thinking about a day later) & chili mutiara drink (fresh and perfect for the summer). Service is fast and attentive, and the staff is all very warm and welcoming. The ambiance feels elevated without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and warmly lit. Perfect place for a small group to share plates & grab drinks. Book in advance and ask for a table by the window in the summer, booth indoors in the winter. Their terrasse is also lovely too if you’re lucky to catch it in the warmer months.

All gluten free food! I recommend beef Nasi Lemak, it goes better than the fried chicken. Eggs Benedict looked fairly standard with a Malaysian twist.

I had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server was incredibly sweet and made the evening extra special. It was my birthday, and when we ordered dessert, he surprised me by singing “Happy Birthday” with such kindness and enthusiasm. It really made my night! Thank you for the amazing food and the thoughtful service — I’ll definitely be coming back.

Incredibly unique flavors, great menu variety, and it’s all gluten free! Dropped in for a GF birthday meal when visiting Montreal. Practically 100% GF menu made for a great variety of options, and so many dishes you’ll never see anywhere else. Also a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, with such distinctive flavors and preparations you seriously don’t miss the meat. Rotating options means there seems to always be something new, like the tamarind roast chicken we had that was incredibly flavorful in a thick dark sauce, almost gravy-like. The crispy fried mushrooms were phenomenal too! Even though this was a 5 star meal, the service has room to improve. We ordered sambal with 4 dipping sauces but it never came. In the end we had plenty and didn’t miss it, but that’s never a great experience. Also, we both would have likely ordered another round of drinks but never had a server check-in to do so. I rarely comment on service, but there are ways to improve. Still an excellent meal and very much recommended.

Came across this place while looking online for gluten free restaurant. As someone who is gluten free it was definitely worth the trip. Even for my boyfriend who was a gluten eater he enjoyed the experience. We had corn fritters and oyster mushrooms for appetizers and they were breaded and delicious. For mains we had beef ribs and Rendang which were both good. The beef ribs were to die for. Very delicious. For dessert we had the ice cream which I very much loved especially the citrus taste. My boyfriend enjoyed the black rice. The servers took time to speak to you and engage in conversation. Thanks from your Toronto friends!

Food was decent, got a little taste of everything. The chicken with hot sauce was fantastic, a great combination. The meat in rendang was too shredded for my liking despite the strong taste of lemongrass and rendang flavor. The vegetable was slightly underwhelming. This is probably due to the lack of wok fire. The crème brûlée texture wasn’t quite right, it was a little curdy. However, the taste was good. Overall, a restaurant that provides a unique experience for Indonesian Malaysian food.

We were happy to eat here, but I don’t think we would be back again. Much of the food was good, but none of it was outstanding. The fried chicken in particular was way overly sweet — honey drenched — and the other dishes were good, but nothing wowed us except the lemon grass appetizer and the fried mushrooms. The service was perfectly good but impersonal. The atmosphere would have been good, but that they played 70s American rock ballads, and it just felt very incongruous in an Indonesian restaurant. Not being Indonesian ourselves, and not having an Indonesian server, it was hard to tell what was authentic and what was not.

The food was pretty flavorful; I think I could have eaten 20 lil satay brochette. The place has a nice ambiance. The bathrooms are so cute and clean. The drink are on the pricey side. My clair coco was yummy. But if u gonna make me pay 21$ for a drink. Its not OK for it to be a Sip!!! They put a block of ice in that drink. I'd definitely want to drink the brunch though.
